Practical Neurology for Trainees

A two day course aimed at neurology trainees who wish to develop their practical knowledge.

Venue: Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE1 4LP

This innovative course is designed for trainees in neurology and related specialities. A new training course delivered by clinical and academic neuroscience departments in the North East. This 2 day course, developed with local trainees for trainees, focuses on a practical applied approach to relevant challenging aspects of acute neurology, MRI and neurophysiology data interpretation, and the use of complex treatments.

Accommodation: accommodation is not included in the course fee. Newcastle offers a number of options to suit all budgets. For ease of travel we recommend the city centre, quayside and jesmond areas. 

Transport: Newcastle is served by a train station in the city centre. There are frequent trains from London Kings Cross (journey time approx. 3 hours) and Edinburgh (journey time approx. 1.5 hours). The TransPennine express links us with Manchester and Liverpool. Newcastle International airport is approximately 7 miles north west of the city. Within Newcastle there is the metro (light rail system). You can get direct from the city centre to the airport in around 25 mins and avoid any traffic.
